I don’t know why I bought this one. I didn’t really find the cover all that attractive, and the title of this volume was OK I guess… Oh well, I somehow purchased it, and I am actually happy I did because it is a cute (though unremarkable) story ^^Why do so many manga series I buy involve cross-dressing? Really, it seems to be a BIG theme in shoujo manga. Perhaps I should get a grant, fly to Japan and do a study on it 😛 Anyway, the story is about Riku, a rather bland looking high school girl with long hair and ugly glasses. She is ignored by everyone and sort of meanders through life. Then she is approached by a talent manager (WHY?! is what I want to know), who has a great idea, one that Riku doesn’t want to try, but is persuaded to do.. cut her hair and dress as a boy! Riku undergoes a fashion makeover, and is instantly aware of the attention she gets from everyone. Apparently she makes a much cuter guy than a girl.

The talent manager was after Riku to join a boys idol group called ‘Z’ (Zeta). Riku does, and soon finds herself incredibly popular with girls and even some guys! The thing is, everyone in the public thinks she is a guy. Meanwhile there is another guy in her singing group, Touya, who is also very cute and popular (and REALLY a guy 🙂 Things get strange when Riku finds herself very attracted to Touya. (everyone in the group knows she is a girl though). Things get even stranger when Riku and Touya are signed on to do a movie together. Tension on the set, beautiful co-stars, secrets revealed, and forbidden love abound in this cute story 😛 Okay there is another story in this volume in the back that I also found to be adorable ^^ A shoujo manga fangirl discovers that her favorite shoujo manga artist is none other than one of the guys in her class! Wow ^^ The art in this volume is pretty cool. I really like how the artist draws profiles. Her direct face shots look a bit odd to me, and some of those fashions… O_O but the guys are cute ^^ Gah I am so shallow 🙂 anyway, if you want a cute set of romantic stories, check this manga out!
