I don’t really have many series published by Princess comics listed on this page. (Do I have any?). But lately this publisher has come out with a lot of interesting stories, so I will probably be posting more summaries for their stuff. I purchased this book based on the cover (of course!). That plain white background really caught my eye. I liked the girl’s determined look, and his tough look. The artwork is very clean and attractive. The guy is extremely cute ^_^ This turned out to be a fun story filled with action, adventure, romance, and time-travel. I look forward to finding more series by this author!

Have you ever wanted your own personal Ninja? That is not a question that our heroine FUJIWARA Beni has ever pondered, but she is about to find out what it is like! Many, many years ago, a ninja named Kagetora devoted his life to protecting Princess Beni (“Beni-Hime”). Unfortunately they are attacked, and Kagetora is flung into a lake, where he sinks to the bottom…

Beni is a modern high school girl, but her life is not quite normal. The story begins with her being threatened at knife-point. Not only that, but she is standing on the edge of the roof of a skyscraper. A struggle ensues, but things go from bad to worse when a mysterious boy appears out of thin air and lands on Beni, knocking her off the edge!

You guessed it- it’s Kagetora. There was a time portal in the middle of that lake, and he has slipped forward in time to modern Japan. I suppose that if you are knocked off the edge of a skyscraper, it’s good to have a ninja around, because, Kagetora is able to use some of his super ninja skillz to save Beni from becoming a pavement pancake. When Kagetora lays eyes on Beni, he is convinced she is his “Beni-Hime-Sama” and swears to be her protector.

Kagetora is understandably a bit flustered by his modern surroundings. Beni thinks this guy must be some wacko cosplayer. But they sort things out, and Kagetora acts as her bodyguard. It’s a good thing she met him. Beni’s home life is not very pleasant either. Her family lives in a large traditional Japanese home. Her mother died when she was little. They say it was an accident, but Beni believes it was murder. She does not get along with her father at all. They fight constantly, and he is unusually cruel to her.

Kagetora is extremely devoted to Beni. He follows her everywhere, including school. Having her own ninja at school may be a bit awkward for Beni, what with him clinging to the classroom ceiling, but he will not let anything stand in his way of protecting her. Meanwhile, there are other forces plotting to hurt Beni, and Kagetora may be the only one who can save her! Wooo Ooooh!
