Silly me. I bought this at the same time I purchased ‘Shoujo Shounen’ which is also by Yu Yabuuchi, but I totally didn’t notice that this was also by her! I bought this because the angels on this cover looked so happy and sweet! The art style in this looks to me to be the tiniest bit different from the art style in ‘Shoujo Shounen’, but it is still extremely cute! The style is somewhat wispy, but not scratchy (am I making any sense here?). The character designs are cute (I keep saying cute over and over, sorry, but it IS! 🙂 and the story is very.. innocent? I was happy after reading this ^_^

One morning a little girl named Miruko wakes up to find a strange woman sleeping in her bed with her. Scard, Miruko runs out to her family to report the stranger in her bed. But her family laughs. That stranger is just her cousin Ruu-chan. Ruu-chan will be living with them from now on. Her family seems sincere, but Miruko knows something is just not right! She doesn’t have a relative named Ruu-chan! Things get stranger when Miruko gets to school and discovers that Ruu-chan is there, and she is Miruko’s teacher! WHAT? Miruko asks her friends what is going on, but they look at Miruko as if she was crazy. Ruu-sensei has always been their teacher! Needless to say this is a bizarre situation! Kind of reminds me of the setup for the manga ‘Missing Piece’ by Hisaya Nakajo. Anyway, Ruu-chan has a very angelic secret, and needs Mikuro’s help! Miruko accepts Ruu-chan into her life, and the two become very close as Ruu does her best to be a good teacher and to help Miruko 🙂
