I found this on sale cheap at a used manga store, and I couldn’t resist (a familiar theme with me ^_^) I admit that while the cover is cute, it doesn’t thrill me all that much. The little chibi picture on the back cover is so much better. But… well… the plot seemed kind of fun (at least what I could decipher from the blurb on the back cover) and the guy is decently cute. Yes, my manga-buying criteria are very broad when confronted by enormous stacks of cheap used manga (“ah, it’s a volume 1? I ‘ll get it!”)
SUZUKI Matsuri is riding the train to school one morning when she feels the unpleasant slide of a stranger’s fingers on her rear. Not one to be bashful, Matsuri turns and decks the guy behind her, yelling at him and accusing him of being a pervert. Unfortunately for Matsuri, she hits the wrong guy! Her victim is a young man named SUMERAGAWA Omi. He is rich. I mean…. REALLY rich. Ridiculously rich. He chose to ride the train that morning after one of his cars had engine trouble and he didn’t want to bother waiting for another car to be brought around. Of course it wasn’t Omi who had his hand on Matsuri’s behind, and when she realizes this, she apologizes profusely. Omi is not the type to let her off that easily, however. He decides that he likes Matsuri’s outgoing personality and sass, and he wants her… for his bride!
Like any self-respecting shoujo manga hero, he goes out of his way to try and win Matsuri. Thanks to his endless piles of money, kidnapping her by helicopter is no problem. Omi is unphased by Matsuri’s wishes and dreams about her future family and children. He wants to marry Matsuri and is perfectly happy to have as many children as she wants (a whole soccer team’s worth if neccessary!) Omi is a rich and possessive type, but he is more CUTE about it than scary or threatening. He is selfish and sometimes thoughtless, and goes overboard with his displays of affection. However, he cares about Matsuri, and just wants to protect her, and for her to like him. He isn’t rich just because of family wealth. He is also a prodigy- he graduated from Harvard at a young age. How can Matsuri resist this cute, rich, smart, and obviously devoted guy?!
This is volume 1 of what I think is a 3-volume series. It is mostly cute, but there are a few smutty scenes ^_^ I need to get volumes 2-3….
