Here is another title that I have had for a long time, and always meant to write a review of, but kept forgetting to. Yes, I purchased this because of the cover. It’s very eye-catching, isn’t it? The art style in this is very clean, with solid lines, and no wispy scratch lines anywhere. The style is also very very CUTE. Toxic levels of cute here 🙂 And the eyes are HUGE! Some of the largest eyes I have seen in manga in a while 🙂 I was glad after I purchased this because the story is pretty amusing, and I love the artwork!
Hooray for more crossdressing! What can I say, I keep buying random manga that ends up being about cross-dressing! It’s positively uncanny! Anyway, the heroine in this manga is a high school girl named Arisu. She’s the girl on the cover with the really LONG hair and the HUGE curls in her ponytails. Her hair is like a force of nature, really! Anyway, when she was a little girl, Arisu was teased and picked on a LOT by some little boys. It was a very traumatic event, and since then, Arisu has hated boys. She wants nothing to do with them! Now she goes to an all-girls high school, and lives in a girls dorm. She has a pet ferret, and is a happy girl ^_^;
But at the beginning of the story, Arisu gets a new roomate! Her name is Kira, and she is tall and beautiful, with long hair. Arisu thinks Kira is so beautiful and perfect! But then she learns that Kira is not exactly what she seems! She is, in fact, a HE. Yes, a horrible BOY! Arisu is horrified at this information, but there is nothing she can do! Kira knows that Arisu has a ferret. Ferrets aren’t allowed in the dorms. So if Arisu tells about Kira’s true gender, he will tell them about Arisu’s ferret! Not a good situation. But WHY is Kira dressing in drag and living in the girls dorm? Ahhh that is a secret! But does it have anything to do with the murder that happens not long after Kira moves in? Can Arisu get over her fear and dislike of boys to become friends with Kira? Oh, the drama! This is actually a cute and funny manga. I can’t say CUTE enough when I describe it 🙂
