Ahh, another perfectly random manga choice! The cover looked pleasant- the character’s didn’t repel me, and I thought the picture on the back of the volume was especially cute. In it, you see the guy sitting in a classroom, the girl sitting in the desk behind him. He has a big blush on his cheeks as he leans back to look at her. She is tugging on his sleeve. Aww. Anyway, this turned out to be a pleasant shoujo story. It’s a ‘Yomikiri’, or one-shot story that starts and ends in this volume and takes up the entire thing. So at least you get one story, and not a whole bunch of shorter stories. The artwork is fairly nice as well. The hair can get a bit funny at times (there is just so much of it!) but overall, the art is clean and non-wispy 🙂
This volume begins like many a shoujo story- a girl wakes up late for school and is rushing to get ready. The girl in question this time is named Mia KANZAKI. She is late for school, so she runs like mad to get there. Dashing through the hallways to class, she comes to a dead halt when she catches a couple in a stairwell kissing! She interrupts the couple, and the guy (who is very cute ^_^) asks her what she is looking at. Mortified, Mia continues to class. She also runs into the guy she currently likes, a classmate named Hayama. Things get interesting when Mia learns that her class is getting a new teacher- and when he walks in and introduces himself, Mia can’t help exclaiming that it is the kissing guy from earlier in the hallway! Once again Mia is embarrassed by her behavior, and later that day at home, she can’t stop thinking about what happened. She is interrupted by the sound of her doorbell. When she answers it, yet another surprise greets her- the same guy again, her new teacher is at her door! His name is Keito KATAOKA, and he is not only her new teacher, but he is also her new neighbor!
GAH! Poor Mia, she can’t seem to stop running into Keito everywhere! The next day at school, Mia once AGAIN walks in on Kataoka-sensei! This time he is making out with a woman right in the classroom! And not only that, but the other woman is a very pretty teacher also from the school! Even the attentions of Hayama-kun can not distract Mia from thoughts of Kataoka-sensei, and her feelings from him waver between indignant anger and fascination. The rest of the volume is about Mia and her relationship with Kataoka-sensei, and they often run into each other, and Mia’s fascination grows into something more! But what does Kataoka-sensei feel? And what about poor Hayama-kun? Ahh the love triangles 🙂
